St. Joseph School is a private primary school in La Puente, California, United States. Established in 1950, the school served students in grades 1 through 8 and recently began a Kindergarten program in 2010. The school is served by the Carmelite Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart of Los Angeles.

Extracurricular activities

St. Joseph's has a number of extracurricular activities: 1. Choir- Choir sings on every other Sunday Mass, has practice on Thursdays,and sings every Friday. Students fourth to eighth grade are eligible to join. The current conductor is Mrs. Nypaver. 2. Student Body- Student Body is composed of the 4 main student council members such as president, vice president, secretary, etc. and the class presidents of fifth grade to eighth grade. Student Body plans all the activities for the school with the approvement of the principal. This years' supeervisor is Mrs. Silva 3. Ecology- Ecology takes care of the school superficially. They clean walls, plant flowers, and any other activities that make the school appear better. Students fifth to eighth grade may join. 4. Altar Server- Altar Servers are 3 students in the sixth to eighth grade that help the priest during Mass, funerals, or weddings. The commissioner is Sister Marie Colombiere. 5. Safety- Safety is a group of students who set out the cones at specific times. Only seventh and eighth graders are eligible for this group. The commissioner is Sister Marie Aimee. 6. Flag- Flag is 3 eighth grade boys chosen by the teacher to put the flag up or take it down. Usually they are tall and big boys. 7. Lectors- Lectors read the readings on Friday and Sunday masses. Sixth through eighth graders are eligible. The commissioner is Sister Marie Colombiere.
